Space Hobo Divination Board

The Space Hobo Bottlecap Divination Board is:
- A fortune telling system, invented by a space hobo.
- A meditation on the vagaries of fortune telling and divination.
- A few puns about space beers.
- A epistolary short story, told with an object, about the desperate formation of human ritual in the face of persistent grief and loss in the outer colonies of space, in an attempt to order the universe.

These are the digital files for a divination project I completed in 2017, the Space Hobo Divination Board. A couple of special edition copies may still be available at Stranger Factory, but will be otherwise be out of print when those are sold out.

The Space Hobo Divination Board is a rudimentary throwing divination system involving throwing bottlecaps on a cloth(usually a bandana, because space hobos do not keep many unnecessary things and getting your body fluids on the fortune telling bandana attunes it to you). There are some symbol definitions, often dubious, but very few rules.
